Of Images and Words

Fall semester 2001. After a unsual day of "attending" classes on my way back from FD-I I stopped over at my friend Sirish's room which is the first room on the new wing downstairs facing the workshop in VK bhawan, which also is the closest room to one of the better redis at BITS. Redi is a road side chat and snack cart each hostel has.

We ordered sam(osa)-chat at Nagarji's redi along with shikanjis and took them to his room. We started lachhafying as usual about this and that. Nothing in particular. What I distinctintly remember about that day was his big speakers, the album "Images and Words" by Dream Theater playing on them and the time spent idling away to glory that evening.

We listened to the album a number of times that day. Esp the numbers "Pull me Under" and "Wait for Sleep". Until I dragged myself back to my room.

Another remainder of good times. If you haven't heard Dream Theater or that album and if you are even remotely interested in rock music do check out "Images and Words". The music will stay with stay with you.

The Hangover - short review

An awesome time pass. I haven't laughed so hard in a movie for a long time. Its hilarious. esp the Allen character. A must watch for the comedy movie lovers. Be aware that the movie has got its share of perversion and offensive content.

Rating: 4/5

What a fool!

To think that I need only come halfway hoping to see you there
To think that I could make those poles apart meet one another
What a fool I had been

To think that each moment we spend together means so much more
To think that you will feel it and you will accept it
What a fool I have been

To think that I will be normal seeing you tonight
To think that you won't be normal seeing me tonight
What a fool I will be

To think that I sat down to write about something else
To think that the ponder was about something else
Oh! What a fool I am :(
